Highly recommended!
Gold spray paint
Purchase at your local craft store
Gold craft paint (DecoArt Metallics - Rich Expresso)
Purchase at your local craft store
Dried flowers (work better / easier than fresh
Dried flowers are much easier to work with than fresh flowers
Fresh flowers may lose / change color during the epoxy & hardener chemical reaction
Purchase dried flowers online or at your local craft store
For my turn table, I used dried lavender and baby's breath (both found at Publix)
Additional Supplies (optional):
Reusable mixing supples (small)
One time use mixing supplies (large)
Disposable gloves

Before you get started:
Make sure you've reviewed my Resin 101 post!
Check your epoxy storage temperature
Make sure your workspace surface is level (and clean)
Phase 1 - Forming & painting honeycomb base (your "honey"):
Trace the honeycomb form onto wax honeycomb sheets (one for every honeycomb shell you will have in your project)
Cut honeycomb bases out
Paint the top side of each honeycomb base with your gold craft paint
Use a small paintbrush and "swirl" the brush to get paint into the wax indentions
Allow to dry
Flip honeycomb bases over and paint the other side

Phase 2 - Creating honeycomb shells (your "honeycomb structure"):
REMINDER: Spray your honeycomb (hex) molds with mold release spray!
Mix your epoxy
Pour 10ml epoxy and 10ml epoxy hardener into your mix cup
Pour additional epoxy & hardener if you will be pouring into more than 1 hex mold
Slowly mix your epoxy for 4 to 5 minutes
Pour your epoxy
Slowly pout your epoxy into the base of the hex mold
DO NOT fill above the sides of the HEX "box" (we want the sides only, not the base)
Get a little on the "top" of the mold? That's ok! We can clean that off after it dries
If you have a resin heating mat (see above)
Place the epoxy mold(s) on the mat
Set the heating mat timer for 60 minutes
Place heating mat cover over epoxy mold(s)
Allow resin to continue drying / curing for several hours
Phase 3 - Painting honeycomb "shells":
After you've de-molded 7 honeycomb shells... it's time to paint!
Take those babies outside, and use some gold spray paint to make 'em shine!
Make sure you both the inside and the outside
Spray the top. Let them dry
Flip 'em & spray the bottom
Once they're all dry - test out arranging them in a honeycomb bee hive formation!
Phase 4 - Begin assembling your turn table :
Take out your 14" round mold
Don't forget to SPRAY YOUR MOLD!
Get one of your larger mixing cups, and a stirring stick, out
Mix approximately 4oz (1/2 cup) epoxy and 4oz (1/2 cup) epoxy hardener in your mix cup
Stir slowly for 5 minutes
Once you're down stirring, slowly pour your epoxy into your form, covering as much of the bottom of the mold as possible. Pick the sides of your mold up to help coat the entire bottom.
Gently place one of your honeycomb shells in the center of the mold
Place the six other honeycomb shells around it, leaving space between the shells
Let this layer fully dry (2 hours with heating mat, or 4 hours without heating mat)
Phase 5 - Continue assembling your turn table :
TBD (Stay tuned for updates!)
Ready? Your turn!
GO CRAFT!!!
